It opened in Bologna and will run until July 30, the event Van Gogh Alive. The Experience, a multimedia spectacle that immerses visitors in the work of Vincent Van Gogh (Zundert, 1853 - Auvers-sur-Oise, 1890). The event focuses on Van Gogh’s life and works in the period between 1880 and 1890, when the artist moved between Paris, Arles, Saint-Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise.
Van Gogh’s masterpieces are reproduced on high-definition screens that will allow visitors to grasp all the details. Also planned is the projection of images and videos that will allow visitors to discover where Van Gogh drew his inspiration from. In all, about 3,000 images, combined with a striking soundtrack (this is mostly classical music: authors such as Vivaldi, Schubert, Bach and others), will be projected on large screens through “Sensory4” technology, a system that incorporates more than fifty high-definition projectors to create a very immersive effect.
