Uffizi dialogues with dance for Florence Dance Performing Arts Festival

On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the Florence Dance Performing Arts Festival presents, in collaboration with the Uffizi Galleries, the Meet the Dance Artists initiative in the Sala della Niobe.

OnSunday, June 30, 2019, at 11 a.m., Gali Kalef Hayun & Danny Eshel, artistic directors of the international Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company 2, will reveal secrets and inspirations to the audience in a conversation with Silvia Poletti, a celebrated figure in Italian dance journalism. The event will conclude with a performance designed especially for the museum, demonstrating the dramatic power and purity of the movement they conceived.

OnTuesday, July 16, at 6 p.m., Roy Assaf, director of the company of the same name, accompanied by three of his dancers, will be guests of the same context and, led by Silvia Poletti will offer all visitors the opportunity to witness a moment in dance through a unique style that combines: body movement, tension between extremes, elements that characterize this talented Israeli company.

To attend the performances, a Uffizi ticket must be purchased.
