Two Boccioni masterpieces fly from Milan to London


Two masterpieces by Umberto Boccioni, Three Women and Workshops at Porta Romana, have been transferred to London on the occasion of an exhibition dedicated to the artist at the Estorick Collection

Two masterpieces by Umberto Boccioni that belong to Intesa Sanpaolo ’s Milanese collections have flown to London to be displayed at the exhibition"Woman + Landscape: Umberto Boccioni, 1907-1912," which will run from Nov. 21, 2018 to Jan. 20, 2019 at the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art, marking the 20th anniversary of the exhibition venue.
These are"Three Women" and"Workshops at Porta Romana," paintings the artist made between 1908 and 1910.

The works on display will present the evolution of Boccioni’s art, and paintings held in Italian collections will be accompanied by paintings and drawings from the permanent collection of the Estorick Collection to analyze the pointillist technique, the artist’s encounter with Futurism and his impact with Cubist aesthetics.
