The exhibition entitled Masters of MARVEL & DC is presented by the PAFF! Palazzo Arti Fumetto Friuli in Pordenone and is staged here.

Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, Thor, Wonder Woman, The Fantastic Four and other comic book legends created by authors such as Bob Kane, Jack Kirby, Carmine Infantino, Jim Lee, John Buscema, Alan Davis, Neil Adams, Alex Ross, Bill Sienkiewicz and many others in an exhibition for the general public and comic book fans.

A Virtual Reality Exhibition that allows the public to move independently within the exhibition halls while staying at home, through twenty-three 360-degree panoramic images: the ticket can be used every day at any time.

With the event, PAFF continues the journey begun with the exhibition Masters of Black&White - Milton Caniff. Considered the “Rembrandt of comics,” in the 1930s and 1940s Milton Caniff profoundly innovated the expressiveness of the language of comics so much so that he was considered an avowed point of reference for a great many authors such as Hugo Pratt or Alex Toth.

“This is a new dimension of exhibition fruition,” declares curator Giulio De Vita, “which aims to allow the most diverse visitors to be able to enjoy the spaces of culture independently of physical presence. Ideas have always circulated freely in the air and today they do so through the network as well, especially in times like this one of restriction. It is in times of crisis and difficulty that the world of culture and imagination must show creativity and resilience, experimenting with new methodologies that then become customary tools of dissemination and archiving, in other words: innovation and progress. A fluid and fulfilling experience, with a personal pace, usable either through mobile devices or computer monitors or the most futuristic VR viewers.”

The virtual tour allows visitors to admire all the works on display in detail through high-definition zoomable digitizations that can be navigated through twenty-three 360-degree panoramic images.

Among the masters presented are Jack Kirby-the King-, Bob Kane the creator of Batman, Jim Lee innovator of 1990s comics and current DC editorial director, John - the BIG - Buscema, Alan Davis, Neil Adams, Gene Colan, Alex Ross, Bill Sienkiewicz and others. Among the superheroes, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Superman, Hulk, Flash, Avengers.

Significant is the presence in the exhibition of all the original plates of an entire album of Batman - The White Knight by Sean Murphy. The Masters of Marvel & DC exhibition also features plates created by Jack Kirby, one of the most famous and influential authors in the history of comics and creator of a new way of drawing comics, characterized by dynamism, perspective, design, experimental research, and inking. Also featured are an original 1945 plate by Bob Kane, inventor of Batman together with Bill Finger in 1939, and three plates by Alex Ross that stand out for their chromaticism.

Key to the exhibition is the double lane that accompanies and guides the visit: red for Marvel and blue for DC Comics.

The exhibition is organized and curated by PAFF! Palazzo Arti Fumetto Friuli, with the contribution of the City of Pordenone and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
