Palazzo d’Accursio in Bologna is hosting from December 2, 2018 to February 3, 2019 the exhibition"Giovanni Paolo Bedini. The Charm of Carefree 1844-1924" curated by Giuseppe Mancini. This is the first major anthological exhibition dedicated to theentire artistic production of the Emilian painter who was active until the 1920s.
The public will be able to admire about sixty works from public and private collections, which will be flanked by paintings by artists contemporary with him, in order to present his art and the context in which Bedini worked. His works include numerous oil paintings and watercolors made following a cheerful and lively art style that was much appreciated by critics.
The exhibition is promoted by Bologna per le Arti, a cultural association that has been engaged for several years in the support and enhancement of 19th- and 20th-century Bolognese painting.
The opening will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sala Ercole of Palazzo d’Accursio in Bologna.
