At GamManzoni in Milan soon an exhibition dedicated to the Macchiaioli, precisely from October 20, 2017 to February 25, 2018.

Thirty-five wonderful works created by artists such as Giovanni Fattori, Telemaco Signorini, Silvestro Lega, Giuseppe Abbati, Nino Costa, Odoardo Borrani and many others; masterpieces from private collections in Lombardy.

Visitors will be able to admire Signorini’s Settignano and La Via del Fuoco, Lega’s Educazione al lavoro and Due bambine che fanno le signore, and Fattori’s Silvestro Lega che dipinge sugli scogli, paintings that in the second half of the 19th century represented a new way of painting, as opposed to the academic spirit.

The exhibition"Macchiaioli. Masterpieces from Lombard Collections" is curated by Francesco Luigi Maspes and Enzo Savoia, sponsored by the City of Milan, the Metropolitan City, the Lombardy Region and the European Commission.
