Subabstraction: in Carrara, the new solo exhibition of Michele Chiossi

Lasting until Aug. 11 is the new solo exhibition of Michele Chiossi, one of Italy's most interesting contemporary sculptors: it is titled Subabstraction and takes place in Carrara.

Michele Chiossi (Lucca, 1970), one of the most interesting sculptors on the contemporary Italian scene, arrives in Carrara with a new solo show entitled Carrara Subabstraction, in which the artist will exhibit some of his latest works from the Subabstraction series: these are marble sculptures and drawings, which the public will be able to admire in the ground-floor rooms of Palazzo Binelli, in the center of the marble city. The works in the series combine sculpture and design and, in addition to marble, use materials such as wood and lace.

The exhibition, which opened on July 29, remains open until Aug. 11 with hours 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Organization and coordination: Nicola Ricci Contemporary Art Gallery. With the contribution of Emmegi Contemporary, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Carrara, Tessiture Colombo Antonio srl. Critical text by Marco Bazzini.
