TheAccademia delle Arti del Disegno in Florence dedicates a major retrospective to Sauro Cavallini (1927 - 2016) two years after his death.
"Sauro Cavallini - Light and Shadow," this is the title of the anthological exhibition, is open to the public from October 5 to 30, 2018, and traces Cavallini’s entire artistic activity with more than seventy works: from the early graphics of the 1960s to the large iron and bronze sculptures and the tempera paintings of the end of his production.
Under the portico are three monumental bronze sculptures: the two Titans and the Gymnast; the latter was exhibited in 1975 at the Salon D’Automne Grand Palais in Paris.
Among the works on display are bronze sketches of Natura and the study of theLast Supper.
The exhibition is curated by Domenico Viggiano.
