Rossini150 exhibition extended

Given the great success with the public, the widespread exhibition"Rossini 150," set up between Pesaro, Urbino and Fano on the occasion of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Gioachino Rossini’s death, will be extended until March 3, 2019. The extension, however, will affect only the venues in Pesaro, at Palazzo Mosca - Musei Civici, and in Urbino, in the Sale del Castellare of Palazzo Ducale; the exhibition in Fano, at the Archaeological Museum and Art Gallery of Palazzo Malatestiano, will close due to other planned events.

A total of 23,056 visitors were recorded during the four months the widespread exhibition was open.
The exhibition has also received great consensus and attention from the media, and attendance at the exhibition has always been on the rise, with people coming from both the local area and outside the region.
The special tours curated by Sistema Museo offered every weekend are also in high demand: in fact, the musical tour in the History of the Piano and the guided tours of the exhibition will continue until March on a fixed date. The other activities will be available by reservation for groups.

The positive result of the Rossini150 exhibition rewards the collaboration between public and private institutions. The widespread project was conceived by the Promoting Committee of the Rossini Celebrations and promoted by the Municipality of Urbino, the Municipality of Pesaro and the Municipality of Fano, in collaboration with theRegione Marche, and organized by Sistema Museo. The event also benefits from the important collaboration with the Fondazione G. Rossini, the Conservatorio Statale di Musica “Gioachino Rossini,” the Rossini Opera Festival, the Ente Olivieri - Biblioteca e Musei Oliveriani, institutions in Pesaro, and with the Museo del Pianoforte Storico e del Suono di Accademia dei Musici, an artistic-musical structure for the research and dissemination of classical music, which operates mainly in the Marche region.
