In Rome, from Nov. 19, 2019 to Jan. 31, 2020, the National Roman Museum at Palazzo Massimo is hosting the exhibition of the Young Creatives - The Origins of Genius project that celebrates Italian talent.
The initiative, now in its second edition, curated by Nicola Brucoli and Carlo Settimio Battisti, directors of TWM Factory, and realized in collaboration with MiBACT - Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism and the National Roman Museum, exalts the skills and skills of young artists, professionals and entrepreneurs of the latest generation, through the exhibition of portraits of 12 Italian talents under 30, who have distinguished themselves for communicative sensitivity in their artistic and professional categories: Federica Sofia Zambeletti / Kozarch (Architecture), Giovanni Vetere (Art), Alain Parroni (Cinema), Burro Studio (Visual Communication), Michele Lazzarini (Cuisine), Susanna Salvi (Dance), Antonio Facco (Design), Sofia Podestà (Photography), Davide Dattoli (Entrepreneurship), Marzia Sicignano (Literature), Davide Gallo / PROGRAMMA (Fashion), Yakamoto Kotzuga / Giacomo Mazzucato (Music).
The photographs of the 12 creatives were taken by Riccardo Ferranti inside the most significant archaeological areas of the Capital (Mercati di Traiano - Museo dei Fori Imperiali, Foro di Augusto, Museo Nazionale Romano - Palazzo Massimo -, Parco Archeologico di Ostia Antica, Parco Archeologico dell’ Appia Antica - Villa dei Quintili, Terme di Caracalla, Villa Adriana), symbolizing how through the interaction between new talents and the spaces of our country’s history it is possible to perpetuate Italian culture. The origins of Italian genius, its deep roots, and its traces become the focus of the research that connects new talents with the spaces of our country’s history.
The installation, composed of celebratory and narrative shots of the project, will be complemented by biographies and interviews with the artists that will shed light on their professional paths. The realization of the celebratory shots of Giovani Creativi was led by Riccardo Ferranti, the narrative photos are by Simone Galli, and all video materials were curated by Giovanna Di Lisciandro with the support of Alvin Fabbroni.
