Rita Ackermann's chalk paintings on display at the Milan Triennale

Until September 9, 2018, the Milan Triennale is dedicating an exhibition to Rita Ackermann's most significant chalk paintings.

Until September 9, 2018, the Milan Triennale is hosting the exhibition"Movements as Monuments" dedicated to artist Rita Ackermann, in which some of her most fascinating works from the chalk paintings series can be seen.

Present are multi-part installations such as Aesthetic of Disappearance (2014) and Meditation on Violence (2014). In the chalk paintings made by the artist since 2013, the painted figure is neither absent nor present; Ackermann blurs the contour lines, creating a ghostly figure effect.
Moreover, many compositions tend to continue beyond the frame.

The exhibition is curated by Gianni Jetzer, New York-based independent curator and Curator-at-Large at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC.
