'Picasso, De Chirico, Morandi - 100 masterpieces of the 19th and 20th centuries from Brescia's private collections' exhibition opens in Brescia. Appointment at Palazzo Martinengo.

Palazzo Martinengo, in Brescia, will be the venue for the exhibition Picasso, De Chirico, Morandi - 100 masterpieces of the 19th and 20th centuries from Brescia’s private collections. The operation will transform the city residence into a true “temple of private collecting in Brescia.”

It is, in fact, an exhibition of the city’s private collections, and sees the display of a number of works by artists of the 19th and 20th centuries, fromPablo Picasso to Lucio Fontana, GiorgioDe Chirico to Luigi Basiletti, and Giorgio Morandi . But the exhibition will start earlier, because there are also works by neoclassical artists, such as Andrea Appiani and Luigi Basiletti, marking the beginning of the chronological journey. The collections from which the works come are basically of two types: an aristocratic collection, the one that concerns nineteenth-century painting, and one that instead is the result of the passion of industrialists, professionals and enthusiasts.



Among the works on display, visitors will be able to admire Giacomo Ballas"Bridge of Speed, " Fontana ’s"Spatial Concepts, " astill life by Giorgio Morandi, and a “Piazza d’Italia” by Giorgio De Chirico.
