From Nov. 8-11, 2018, the 14th edition of Gotha, Parma’s high antiques fair, opens. Gotha showcases fine antiques and outstanding works in the contemporary sphere. Ilaria Dazzi, Brand Manager of Gotha, says, “Renewal is the word that best represents the 14th edition of Gotha. It changes the exhibition proposal, a virtuous mix of artwork of the highest antiques and contemporary avant-garde. It changes the concept made up of talks and side shows. All, however, without experimentation for our exhibitors. We have built the new event on a solid incoming program of buyers from all over the world by drawing on our established network of relationships. We are confident that the formula will put Gotha back on the agendas of international collecting.”
The fair will feature side exhibitions Treasures of the Eighteenth Century, which will display three works by Ennemond-Alexandre Petitot, and Lion and Lioness 1935-1936. Two Rediscovered Sculptures by Arturo Martini, a never-before-seen exhibition of the Treviso sculptor’s two “rediscovered” original works. “Exhibitions intentionally from the distant express and stylistic code,” Ilaria Dazzi continues, “but which represent the search for a continuous dialogue between present and past, without losing sight of the link with Parma, the city from which the inspiration of the renewed Gotha starts. Which is the trait with which we want to distinguish ourselves on the market.”
