Carlocinque Gallery in Milan presents "35 Capricci" by Wainer Vaccari, an artist born in Modena in 1949, until April 5, 2024. This exhibition includes thirty-five works created especially for the occasion during 2023, each painted in oil on canvas and of the same dimensions (40 x 30 cm). The uniqueness of these works lies in their being arranged in a continuous order, thus evoking thelayout of a book that is as hypothetical as it is real. Each painting seeks to express a unique vision, focusing on the colors. Vaccari, with his mastery, manages to condense an entire synthesis of his pictorial universe into each work, creating a kind of visual narrative that unfolds through the various works on display.
Vaccari’s art stands as an invitation to reflection on the human condition, transcending temporal and spatial boundaries and interweaving them with deep psychological introspection. His works constitute a fabric of stories, a stage on which a slow-paced comedy and an ongoing investigation of the human soul and its capacity to imagine and create worlds unfolds. Wainer Vaccari emerges as an artist whose unique skill stimulates the viewer to look beyond the surface of the image, to explore the depths of human existence and to discover beauty and meaning in the inexpressible.
The exhibition is on view at Carlocinque Gallery, 31 Via dell’Annunciata, Milan, Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays from 3 to 7:30 p.m., and by appointment. For appointment call +39 02 91558394. Vernissage Feb. 7, 2024 from 6:30 p.m.
