The photo exhibition"Lumen | Veiled Christ" opened this morning at the Palatine Chapel of Naples’ Castel Nuovo.
Bolognese photographer Nino Migliori presents his shots dedicated to Giuseppe Sanmartino’s 18th-century masterpiece: the Veiled Christ, preserved in the Sansevero Chapel in Naples.
His images depict the splendid work of art illuminated by a single source of light: that of candles.
The candlelight brings out from the darkness details of the sculpture and details of the folds of the veil that create great wonder in the visitor’s eyes.
The exhibition is open until May 2, 2018, and is promoted by the Sansevero Chapel Museum in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism of the City of Naples and the Nino Migliori Foundation.
