From tomorrow, October 11, to January 28, 2018, the Palatine Chapel of the Castel Nuovo - Maschio Angioino in Naples will host a monographic exhibition dedicated to the artist Antonio Ligabue.
More than eighty works by the painter will narrate his art from a historical and critical point of view.
Characteristic are his depictions of wild animals, particularly tigers and leopards, and his self-portraits.
The exhibition is curated by Professor Sandro Parmiggiani, former director of Palazzo Magnani and director of the Antonio Ligabue Museum Foundation of Gualtieri, and Sergio Negri, president of the scientific committee of the same Foundation, and is promoted by the City of Naples - Department of Culture and Tourism with the collaboration of the Antonio Ligabue Museum Foundation of Gualtieri.
Hours: Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tickets: Monday through Saturday full 10 euros, reduced 8 euros (ticket includes admission to the exhibition and the Museo Civico in Castel Nuovo - Maschio Angioino); Sunday full 8 euros, reduced 6 euros (ticket includes only a visit to the exhibition).
