The Milan Triennale is hosting from May 11 to September 12, 2021 the retrospective Vico Magistretti. Milanese Architect, produced in collaboration with Fondazione Vico Magistretti.
Curated by Gabriele Neri, the exhibition traces the entire activity of Magistretti, which began right at the Palazzo dell’Arte after World War II, through drawings, sketches, models, photographs, prototypes and original pieces kept in the archive of the Milanese architect and designer.
The retrospective presents for the first time the entire oeuvre of Vico Magistretti, from architecture to installations, from design to urban design, in an exhibition itinerary divided by theme. Fil rouge is the color red, which distinguishes many of his projects: it evokes the red of the avant-garde and the brick-red tradition of old Milan.
Also on display are tributes from two of Magistretti’s students at the Royal College of Art in London, Konstantin Grcic and Jasper Morrison.
