Milan: contemporary art exhibition "Free Immersion" features the works of twelve young emerging artists

Interaction, freedom and research are the watchwords of Immersione libera, the group exhibition, curated by Giovanni Paolin, on view until May 18 in the spaces of the Palazzina dei Bagni Misteriosi. Twelve young artists active in Italy have been called to confront one of the most fascinating places in Milan, recently rediscovered and made accessible to the public, with an invitation to conceive new site-specific works.

Immersione libera, an exhibition moment realized in collaboration with Galleria Continua, Associazione Pier Lombardo and Teatro Franco Parenti, is a project of entrepreneur and collector Marina Nissim aimed at supporting and promoting new generation artists, giving them ample support and space for expression. Diverse in background and place of origin, Alfredo Aceto, Agreements to Zinedine, Antonello Ghezzi, Calori & Maillard, Campostabile, Giovanni Chiamenti, Alessandro Fogo, Francesco Fonassi, Valentina Furian, Raluca Andreea Hartea, Ornaghi & Prestinari and Marta Spagnoli were selected by Giovanni Paolin as they are considered among the most interesting and innovative emerging voices on the contemporary scene.

The exhibition does not follow a single thread, but embraces a wide range of proposals spanning different languages, materials and techniques. In fact, the artists involved have been given the greatest freedom to experiment without any constraints or limits, with the aim of enriching the exhibition itinerary and its meanings through ever new and alternative points of view.

In their diversity, all works are designed to merge with the surrounding space and encourage, through immersive experiences, the involvement of visitors. Sculptures, paintings, prints, photographs, video projections and installations, moreover, will enter into dialogue with a series of temporary events held weekly in collaboration with guest curators(Giulia Colletti, Caterina Molteni, Treti Galaxie) to enhance the versatility of the Palazzina’s spaces by adding additional artistic experiences to the one on display.
