An exhibition celebrates 40 years of Back to the Future with more than 100 original memorabilia, faithful replicas of vehicles from the film and the extraordinary presence of Kevin Pike. At Villa Beretta Magnaghi in Marcallo con Casone (Milan) from May 3 to July 27, 2025, including iconic sets, never-before-seen documents and a journey through time.

From May 3 to July 27, 2025, Villa Beretta Magnaghi in Marcallo con Casone (Milan, Italy), will host Back in Time - The Exhibition, the worldwide exhibition dedicated to the Back to the Future film trilogy. Organized by Infinity Events in collaboration with Ritorno al Futuro Italia APS, the exhibition celebrates the 40th anniversary of the release of the first 1985 film, offering fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in a unique journey among original memorabilia, stage costumes and iconic sets. The initiative also has a charitable purpose: thanks to the collaboration with the Outatime Italia group, part of the proceeds will be donated to Team Fox, an association for Parkinson’s research founded by Michael J. Fox.

A journey through time among original memorabilia and faithful replicas

The exhibition, which covers more than 2,000 square meters, will allow visitors to discover more than 100 original items used in the production of the trilogy. Previously unpublished documents, storyboards and concept art will be on display, along with costumes worn by the protagonists. Among the most iconic pieces will be Marty McFly’s (Michael J. Fox) radiation suit, George McFly’s (Crispin Glover) jacket and Lorraine McFly’s (Lea Thompson) blouse.

There will be no shortage of famous props, such as authentic copies of the 1955 Hill Valley Telegraph newspaper, plans for the Clock Tower, and the food vending machine for Einstein, Doc Brown’s dog. From the second film, the hoverboards of Marty and his rival gang will be on display, along with the iconic product placements of the future: the Pepsi Diet bottle, the Pizza Hut package, and Nike Mags. The exhibition also faithfully reconstructs the world of Biff Tannen, the saga’s antagonist: among the exhibits are the Great Sports Almanac autographed by Michael J. Fox and Tom Wilson, the Biff Tannen Museum entrance ticket, and matchbooks from the casino. From the last film in the trilogy, set in the Wild West, a copy of the 1885 Hill Valley Telegraph, the production megaphone and Marty McFly’s entire western outfit will be on display.

Cars from the film and cult settings

A central element of the exhibition will be faithful replicas of the saga’s most famous vehicles. Starting with the legendary DeLorean DMC-12 Time Machine, reconstructed following the original model used in Universal studios, to Biff Tannen’s 1946 Ford, the Volkswagen T2 BUS of the Libyan terrorists and Marty McFly’s Toyota Hilux SR5.

Within the grounds of Villa Beretta Magnaghi, visitors can explore iconic settings recreated to the smallest detail: from the Clock Tower to the Save the Clock Tower banquet, to the Hill Valley welcome sign and the Lyon Estates residential neighborhood. Throughout the weekends, the outdoor area will host free screenings of documentaries and thematic content, while souvenir photo stations featuring cars from the film will be set up inside the Villa.

A special guest for the opening weekend

To make the event even more memorable, Kevin Pike, special effects supervisor for Back to the Future and creator of some of the saga’s most spectacular scenes, will be in attendance for the opening weekend on May 3 and 4. Pike, whose talents have also contributed to such masterpieces as Jaws, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Jurassic Park III and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, will meet with fans to tell anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories about the making of the film.

The event will also offer special moments with presentations and activities dedicated to the saga, freely accessible to all visitors. In addition to the exhibition, visitors will be able to enjoy a full themed experience thanks to a cafeteria inspired by Lou’s Cafe from the 1950s, a bookshop with exclusive gadgets, and a refreshment area surrounded by greenery in the park of the 18th-century villa. With a perfect mix of nostalgia and innovation, Back in Time - The Exhibition promises to be the event of the year for fans of Back to the Future and 1980s cinema.
