Matera Universe Pop: the works of Pop Art on display at the Sassi Foundation

On display until February 4, 2018 in Matera are the great masters of Pop Art: Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Robert Indiana.

Thirty-nine works are shown in an exhibition titled"Matera Universe Pop" to immerse visitors in the world of Pop Art: among Rauschenberg’s combined paintings, Indiana’s words that become images, Lichtenstein’s false typographic screen printing, Warhol’s silkscreens and Haring’s puppets.

The exhibition is curated by Graziano Menolascina and organized by Fondazione Sassi.

Hours: Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 24 to Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Mondays and Jan. 1.

Ticket: Full 5 euros; 14- to 18-year-olds and university students 2 euros; free for under-14s, disabled with accompanying person, journalists and tour guides.
