Luca Piovaccari on display at the Palazzo Ducale in Massa

Opens tonight at 9 p.m. the exhibition at the Ducal Palace in Massa dedicated to Luca Piovaccari.

Tonight at 9 p.m. the exhibition"Revolutions" will open at the Palazzo Ducale in Massa.
Until Aug. 6, Romagnolo artist and photographer Luca Piovaccari will exhibit installations and photographs that tell the story of his artistic journey.

Often his subjects are suburban moors with concrete buildings, suburban buildings with surrounding landscapes: the intent is not denunciation against civil decay, but rather redemption, harmony.

In the critical text introducing the exhibition written by Alberto Zanchetta, director of the Museum of Modern Art in Lissone, we read, “Acting on essential linguistic scraps, Piovaccari works on the idea of recovery, which can be both material and conceptual. In an attempt to reconvert sources into an unprecedented actuality, he makes objets [re]trouvé[r] on which he intervenes in a minimal way. They are mostly ”moderate,“ ”low-impact" interventions that denote a responsible attitude as well as a late-romantic panic feeling. It is as if Piovaccari wants to trigger mechanisms of relationship between people and different types of ecosystems, to make them become ego-compatible, one to another...the artist accepts co-responsibility for creation, trying to interfere with essential/existential balances at a minimum.
Thanks to his ability to adhere with the landscape, Luca Piovaccari thus succeeds in introducing into the works a mother-matrix (nature) permeable and projective of forms, meanings, intentions."

The exhibition has free admission and can be visited Thursday through Sunday from 9 p.m. to midnight; it is promoted by the City of Massa with the artistic direction of Mauro Daniele Lucchesi of theQuattro Coronati Association.
