Invisible archaeology: the exhibition at the Egyptian Museum in Turin is on YouTube


A new video has been posted on the MiBACT YouTube channel dedicated to the Egyptian Museum in Turin that focuses on the Invisible Archaeology exhibition.

To the tune of On the Beautiful Blue Danube, the video gives us is a brief account of the work of archaeologists who analyze and study the archaeological artifacts preserved in the museum. Precisely archaeometry, that is, the set of techniques adopted to study the materials, production methods, and conservation history of the artifacts, is the purpose of Invisible Archaeology.



The exhibition had opened on March 12, 2019, and was extended until June 7, 2020, before the Coronavirus emergency forced museums to close.
