In Sassoferrato comes The Devoted Beauty

Coming to the Palazzo degli Scalzi in Sassoferrato is"La Devota Bellezza - Il Sassoferrato con i disegni della Collezione Reale Britannica," an exhibition dedicated to Giovanni Battista Salvi, known as Sassoferrato, to be held from June 17 to November 5, 2017.

Curated by François Macé de Lépinay, the exhibition will present for the first time in Italy the artist’s folios in the British Royal Collection: the folios conserved at the Royal Library of Windsor Castle will flank some paintings made by the artist to understand the great importance that the graphic studio had for the realization of his works.
Another section will show some of his works preserved in the Marche region and others related to the commission of the Aldobrandini house, which are more articulate and complex.
