In Bologna, galaxies and celestial bodies in Alice Rohrwacher's installation Bar Luna

Starting June 2024, Galleria Modernissimo will host a multimedia exhibition by Alice Rohrwacher and Muta Imago: the multi-media show immerses visitors in a surreal atmosphere.

Following its installation at the Centre Pompidou in Paris between December 2023 and January 2024, from June 20, 2024, the Modernissimo Gallery in Bologna will host the multimedia exhibition Bar Luna by Alice Rohrwacher and Muta Imago, the artist duo composed of Claudia Sorace and Riccardo Fazi, with the participation of florist-landscape artist Thierry Boutemy and the collaboration of set designer Giancarlo Basili.

In the environments of the exhibition, the protagonists become the visitors themselves, with their emotions and experiences. Guests invited to immerse themselves in a magical and mysterious atmosphere that alternates between oral tales and soundscapes, reality and fiction, past and future, photographs and video fragments. In the installation, visitors can cross the threshold between “the hereafter” and “the hereafter” to take a journey through the stars where we meet galaxies that are our common roots, to finally remember that true salvation is found on Earth.

Bar Luna was commissioned and premiered at the Centre Pompidou in Paris between December 2023 and January 2024 and re-imagined for the Modernissimo Gallery, with the collaboration of set designer Giancarlo Basili.
