From February 26 to July 2025, the rooms of Palazzo Pallavicini in Bologna will host an exhibition entirely dedicated to the celebrated Scottish artist Jack Vettriano. Among the painters most appreciated by the public, both Italian and international, Vettriano will be the protagonist of an exhibition curated by Francesca Bogliolo, organized and realized by Chiara Campagnoli, Deborah Petroni and Rubens Fogacci of Pallavicini s.r.l., in collaboration with the artist himself.

The event will offer the public an opportunity to delve into Vettriano’s artistic journey through more than 70 works, including oil paintings and limited edition graphics created especially for Palazzo Pallavicini, accompanied by shots taken in Jack Vettriano’s studio by Francesco Guidicini, official portraitist for the Sunday Times, whose works are featured at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Of Italian descent, Jack Vettriano was born and raised in a small Scottish town. At the age of twenty-one, he began painting as a self-taught artist after receiving a set of brushes and watercolors as a gift. Almost fifteen years later, he was able to exhibit his work in a professional art context, and from the very first day of his debut exhibition, both canvases on display were purchased, marking the beginning of a very successful career. Her works, which reference the noir genre, often explore romantic and sensual themes, with figures in the foreground and scenic settings. Since his first exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy in 1988, Vettriano has won over the general public, receiving interest and acclaim for his work. In 2004, Queen Elizabeth awarded him the OBE (Order of the British Empire) honor for services to the visual arts.
