The spaces of Leica Galerie Milan will host from November 9, 2021 to January 15, 2022 the exhibition An Ideal Collection, curated by Denis Curti, which aims to offer a journey through the history of photography through the shots of the most famous Italian and international photographers, but above all aims to give suggestions on how to start collecting photographs. “Collecting photographs is a continuous discovery, but where to start?” In fact, this is precisely the question from which the project and the exhibition path designed by Curti started. On display are twenty-five photographs by photographers including André Kertész, Leonard Freed, Pepi Merisio, Ferdinando Scianna, Richard Avedon, Florence Henri, Weegee, Mario Giacomelli, Leslie Krims, Gabriele Basilico, Paolo Gioli, Pierre Molinier, Paolo Ventura, and Rudolf Schwarzkogler, all signed, stamped or authenticated by heirs or official estates. Also present are vintage prints, numbered editions and author proofs.
Hours: Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Closed Sunday and Monday.
