From February 2018 in Treviso a major exhibition dedicated to Rodin

From Feb. 24 to June 3, 2018, the Museum of St. Catherine in Treviso will host the exhibition"Rodin. A Great Sculptor at the Time of Monet."

The city of Treviso has been chosen by the Musée Rodin in Paris to host the concluding exhibition of the celebrations of the first centenary of Auguste Rodin’s death.

The exhibition, curated by Marco Goldin, will present more than seventy works by the celebrated artist: fifty sculptures and twenty-five works on paper. It will feature the Kiss, the Thinker, the Monument to Balzac, and the Bronze Age, as well as models of the monumental works.

The exhibition aims to show all the stages of Rodin’s artistic journey. Also on display will be a large canvas by Munch depicting the statue of the Thinker in the garden of Dr. Linde (an important collector of both Rodin and Munch) in Lübeck, and a painting by Monet that was featured in the 1889 Paris exhibition devoted to Monet and Rodin.

This monograph on Rodin will be linked to the"Homage to Arturo Martini" exhibition in the “Luigi Bailo” Museum: visitors to the St. Catherine Museum exhibition will be able to visit the “Bailo” with reduced admission.

“Rodin. A great sculptor at the time of Monet” is produced and organized by Linea d’Ombra and promoted by the City of Treviso.

Hours: Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tickets: Without reservation full 14 euros, concessions for students over 18 and university students up to 26 with ID, over 65, journalists with ID 11 euros, concessions for minors aged 6 to 17 8 euros.
With reservation: Full 15 euros, reduced for adult students and university students up to 26 years old with ID, over 65 years old, journalists with ID 12 euros, reduced for minors from 6 to 17 years old 9 euros.
