From July 9 to 28, 2019, the halls of Palazzo Morando | Costume Moda Immagine in Milan will host the exhibition Connecting Borders: Hangeul x Fashion Art. The event promoted by the Municipality of Milan; the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea; and the National Hangeul Museum in Seoul aims to priomote, thanks to the participation of 73 fashion artists, leading Korean fashion designers and many other emerging designers, as well as to expand relations between the two countries.
The main theme of the ’exhibition is the relationship between various fashion-related art forms andHangeul, the Korean graphic writing language. the exhibition is divided into three sections: Form and Writing, Style and Writing, and Form and Graphics. Emphasizing the graphic aspect of design and using basic colors such as red, blue, black and white, the works express the sensibility and spirit of Hangeul and its connection to the world of fashion.
