Due to its great success with the public, the "Mantegna's Room" exhibition held at Palazzo Barberini in Rome has been extended until Feb. 3, 2019.

Given the great success with the public that the exhibition The Mantegna Room. Masterpieces from the Jacquemart-André Museum in Paris achieved, the exhibition set up at the Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica - Palazzo Barberini in Rome has been extended until Feb. 3, 2019.

The centerpiece of the exhibition curated by Michele Di Monte is Andrea Mantegna’sEcce Homo, flanked by the Madonna and Child between Saints Jerome and Louis of Toulouse attributed to Mantegna, the Madonna and Child by Cima da Conegliano, a rare portrait on parchment by Giorgio Schiavone, a drawing of the Mantegna school depicting Hercules and Antheus, and a bronze statuette by Andrea Briosco, known as Riccio.



The six works on display come from the prestigious collection of the celebrated Edouard André (Paris, 1833-1894) and his wife Nélie Jacquemart (Paris, 1841-1912), who then bequeathed them to the French state.
