The exhibition will be enriched by rare stone masks from Teotihucan, the largest city in Mesoamerica; Maya vases from the Classic period, authoritative sources of information thanks to their decorations and inscriptions; anthropomorphic statuettes from the Olmec culture, which also fascinated Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera so much; and Mezcala sculptures.

There will also be space devoted to the crops with which ancient pre-Columbian civilizations ensured nourishment such as cocoa, potatoes and corn. Conceived shortly after the passing of entrepreneur and paleontologist Giancarlo Ligabue, it is also meant to be a tribute to the passionate collector and archaeology scholar by his son Inti Ligabue. The event is curated by André Delpuech and Jacques Blazy, a specialist in pre-Hispanic arts.
