The CAMeC - Modern and Contemporary Art Center in La Spezia will open on Friday, December 7, 2018, the exhibition"From Vedova to Vedova. The graphic work of Emilio Vedova from the Albicocco Collection," a tribute to the great master ofItalian informal art.
On the occasion of the centenary of his birth, about seventy graphic works from the Albicocco Collection, a historic Udine art print shop with which Vedova had frequent and industrious collaborations from 1979 until 2006, will be on display.
Emilio Vedova’s graphic work, which took off as early as the 1950s, consists heavily of etchings and aquatints.
Also on view will be works from the Cozzani Collection and the CAMeC’s Gulf Prize Collection, evidence of the artist’s connection with the Ligurian city: in 1954 he won the prize with the work The Ways of the World.
The exhibition is open to the public until June 2, 2019.
