A new exhibition was inaugurated in Parma on the occasion of Parma 2020 - Italian Capital of Culture. It is We, Food, Our Planet: Feeding a Sustainable Future, promoted by the Barilla Foundation and realized with the collaboration of National Geographic Italy, Sustainable Development Solutions Network Mediterranean (SDSN Med), Madegus, Civicamente, the contribution of a multidisciplinary scientific committee, the curatorship of Codice Edizioni, and with the collaboration and patronage of the City of Parma.
Open from Jan. 11 to April 13, 2020 in the spaces of Galleria San Ludovico, the exhibition strives to grow a greater understanding of the concept of sustainability and the sense of urgency that must drive us to address global food paradoxes. This is the only possible premise for sustainably transforming our food system.
The purpose of this initiative is to promote a sense of active citizenship and a growing awareness of the importance of sustainable development that can be achieved by changing the way we grow, produce and consume food, as well as knowledge and good practices about food, people and the environment, for the future of the Planet and the health of its inhabitants, through the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations and the basis of the 2030 Agenda.
A digital and multidisciplinary itinerary is planned for the occasion, which will offer interactive and immersive areas, thematic lectures of high scientific value, and paths and workshops dedicated to students of all ages.
