From July 20 to Sept. 8, 2024, SanLorenzo Arte Gallery in Piazza Bordoni 4, Poppi (Arezzo), hosts Echi di realtà, a double solo exhibition by Fabio Presti and Domenico Silvestri curated by Silvia Rossi. With the exhibition Echi di realtà (Echoes of Reality ) by Domenico Silvestri and Fabio Presti, SanLorenzo Arte Gallery explores the thin border between concreteness and imagination, between everyday experience and the dream world.

Domenico Silvestri invites us to enter a world populated by human figures immersed in situations that are now ironic now melancholy, caustic and sometimes irreverent. His art does not follow a specific theme, but is inspired by events ranging from the personal to those that run through the everyday life of all of us. The Valtellina artist captures images that escape rhetoric and monotony, highlighting hidden and vibrant aspects of reality. Through painting, he creates a dimension beyond the contingent, translating everyday events into powerful visual narratives.

Fabio Presti, on the other hand, focuses his research on architecture, building his works layer by layer with mixed techniques that include resins, rust and marble dust. Each strongly textured work by the Sicilian-born artist and adopted Lombard is an evolving landscape, a journey through time that reveals traces of the past and visions of the future. His architectural constructions, almost suspended between reality and fantasy, lead us to reflect on the theme of abandonment and rebirth.

Domenico Silvestri was born in Livigno(Sondrio) in 1974. He lives and works in Valtellina. He studied at theAcademy of Fine Arts in Bergamo and Milan and continued his education at the Hochschule der Bildenden Kunste in Munich and Berlin. His painting is an instinctive response to images and events that strike him, making him capable of highlighting ironic and caustic aspects of reality. Silvestri has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, maintaining a non-thematic vision but based on the immediacy of everyday events. Silvestri lives and works between Livigno and Morbegno.

Fabio Presti was born in Catania, Italy, in 1973. He lives and works in Milan, where after exploring various artistic fields, including music, he devoted himself to painting and developed an artistic career exhibiting in important Italian and European galleries. Among the prestigious awards he has received is the Celeste Prize in 2012. Presti is known for layered works using materials such as resins, rust and marble dust. His pictorial architectures, often laden with symbolism, communicate directly with the viewer’s deepest and most instinctive emotions.
