Until May 27, 2018, visitors will be able to admire some of Giorgio De Chirico ’s masterpieces from the Collection of Francesco Federico Cerruti at Castello di Rivoli.
The exhibition Giorgio de Chirico. Masterpieces from the Collection of Francesco Federico Cerruti will present works that have never before been exhibited to the public from Villa Cerruti in Rivoli, a home the Turin entrepreneur wanted in the 1960s for his private collection.
The exhibition showcases eight important paintings by the master of Metaphysical Art that allow us to learn about his great abilities and to relate in a sort of dialogue his masterpieces with some of the major contemporary artworks belonging to the museum, such as installations by Giulio Paolini, Michelangelo Pistoletto and Maurizio Cattelan.
De Chirico was able to tie together personal memories, classical myths and philosophy in a continuous quest.
The exhibition is curated by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev and Marcella Beccaria.
