To mark 35 years of U.S.-Vatican diplomatic relations, the Vatican Pinacoteca presents the exhibition Crivelli's Gold.

On the occasion of thirty-five years of diplomatic relations between the United States and the Vatican, the Vatican Museums and theU.S. Embassy will open the exhibition Crivelli’s Gold on November 13, 2019, at the Vatican Pinacoteca.

Speakers at the presentation of the exhibition will include Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello, president of the Governorate of the Vatican City State; Barbara Jatta, director of the Vatican Museums; Callista L. Gingrich, U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See; Guido Cornini, scientific director of the Vatican Museums’ art sector; and Father Kevin Lixey, L.C., international director of Patrons of the Arts.



The exhibition, on view through Jan. 21, 2020, will focus on three paintings by Carlo Crivelli (Venice, c. 1430 - Ascoli Piceno, 1495) restored through the generosity of Patrons of the Arts: the Pietà, the Polyptych of the Madonna and Child and Saints, and the Madonna and Child.
