From February 7 to May 6, 2018, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome will host a monographic exhibition dedicated to Cesare Tacchi (1940-2014).
Through the exhibition of more than one hundred works arranged chronologically, visitors will learn about the artistic activity and biographical events of Cesare Tacchi, one of the leading exponents of the post-World War II period in Italy.
Although considered by critics “a solitary, silent and chastened young man,” he elaborated a personal style with which he made visible the contradictions of some crucial aspects of contemporary visual culture.
On display will be his object-paintings, canvases and paintings using tapestry, his enamels on canvas and other prominent works of his.
The monographic exhibition is curated by Daniela Lancioni and Ilaria Bernardi and is produced and organized by Azienda Speciale Palaexpo - Palazzo delle Esposizioni in collaboration with theCesare Tacchi Archive.
