Palazzo Pallavicini in Bologna will host an exhibition dedicated to Antonio Ligabue (Zurich, 1899 - Gualtieri, 1965) from October 3, 2024 to February 28, 2025.
Organized and produced by Chiara Campagnoli, Deborah Petroni and Rubens Fogacci of Pallavicini s.r.l., together with Art Direction and curatorship by WeAreBeside, the exhibition is produced in collaboration with SM.Art and has the patronage of the Augusto Agosta Tota Foundation for Antonio Ligabue, with texts by Francesca Bogliolo.
Articulated in eight rooms, the exhibition will tell the story of this artist of troubled vicissitudes with more than sixty paintings, ten sculptures and ten drawings. His was a life marked by torments and difficulties, but also by an intense passion for art, which he conceived as a vital necessity, a primordial form of expression that allowed him to process and transmit his deepest emotions. The exhibition offers the public the opportunity to immerse themselves in Ligabue’s creative universe, in his passionate research with which the artist knew how to invent and renew his works using violent, but nevertheless harmonious colors in their pressing emotional suggestion.
