The Sale dei Paggi at the Reggia di Venaria will host Sebastião Salgado’s latest major photography project from March 22 to September 16, 2018.
It took the celebrated Brazilian photographer 10 years to create this extraordinary work, during which he sought to tell the story of his deep love for the earth and to give a warning to mankind.
The exhibition unfolds through more than 200 spectacular black-and-white images depicting the tropical forests of the Amazon, Congo, Indonesia and New Guinea, the glaciers of Antarctica, the taiga of Alaska, the deserts of America and Africa, and the mountains of America, Chile and Siberia.
Salgado through his Genesis project intends to highlight the need to safeguard our planet, respecting it and creating a kind of harmony with everything around us.
The exhibition is curated by Lélia Wanick Salgado on a project by Contrasto and Amazonas Images and is organized by Civita Mostre.
