At Fondation Beyeler in dialogue Bacon and Giacometti

The Fondation Beyeler in Basel is hosting the exhibition"Bacon-Giacometti" dedicated to the art of Francis Bacon (1909-1992) and Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966) until September 2, 2018.

One hundred paintings and sculptures from major European and U.S. museums and private collections are on display. Also featured are some previously unpublished works by Giacometti.

Both artists focused most of their works on the representation of the human figure and devoted themselves to portraits to show the variety of humankind.

Full-size multimedia projections have been created for the exhibition to allow visitors to admire the works in the artists’ studios.

The exhibition is curated by Catherine Grenier, Michael Peppiatt and Ulf Kuster.
