From June 23, 2017 to January 7, 2018, the Scuderie del Castello di Miramare in Trieste will host the exhibition"Art Nouveau and the EuropeanRevolution of the Arts."
Some 200 works from the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague will be on display to represent the Art Nouveau style, a true revolution in the late 19th and early 20th centuries that involved all the arts.
Among the artists featured are Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Emile Gallé, and René Lalique.
The exhibition is curated by Radim Vondracek, Iva Knobloch, Lucie Vlckova under the direction of Helena Koenigsmarkova, director of the Prague Museum of Decorative Arts, and Rossella Fabiani, art historian.
It is promoted by the Polo Museale del Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Historical Museum and Park of Miramare Castle, and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague; it is produced and organized by Civita Tre Venezie and Villaggio Globale International.
