Art history told through Hidden Treasures: in Catania works from Giotto to de Chirico


Given its great success with the public, the exhibition From Giotto to de Chirico - Hidden Treasures at the Ursino Castle in Catania has been extended until Sept. 30.

Extended until September 30, 2018, the exhibition"From Giotto to de Chirico - Hidden Treasures" set up in the exhibition spaces of the Ursino Castle in Catania and curated by Vittorio Sgarbi.

A great success with the public for this exhibition that since its inauguration last October has already recorded 58 thousand visitors.



The aim of the exhibition is to tell through"hidden treasures“ the history of Italian art, namely those works ”hidden and protected" in the most important Italian private collections.

The tale unfolds from the late 13th century to the mid-20th century, presenting the evolution of styles, currents and fundamental events in the history of Italian art, and showing a broad overview of the themes and subjects chosen by the artists.
More than one hundred works, including paintings and sculptures, can be admired in this extraordinary setting.

Tickets: Full 12 euros, reduced 9 euros, reduced student 7 euros.
