Until September 16, 2018, cosmoramas by Hubert Sattler (1817-1904) from the Salzburg Museum at the Castello di San Giorgio in Mantua are on display for the first time in Italy.
On the occasion of the exhibition"Around the World in 8 Rooms," curated by Attilio Brilli in collaboration with Johannes Ramharter, Peter Assmann, Nina Knieling, the public will identify with the protagonists of Jules Verne ’s"Around the World in 80 Days" and admire landscapes, views and cities of Italy and Europe, as well as the East and America.
The exhibition begins with a section featuring two first editions in French and Italian of Verne’s novel and a series of vintage objects, such as souvenirs, postcards, suitcases, and closes with a reflection on travel made out of necessity.
Hours: Tuesday through Sunday from 8:15 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Tickets: Full 12 euros, reduced 7.50 euros.
