An exhibition on Lego, the world's most famous bricks, arrives in Bari

Bari's Spazio Murat presents from December 9, 2022 to March 19, 2023 an exhibition designed for Lego fans: I Love Lego. Scenarios, environments and artistic masterpieces made with the world's most famous bricks.

From Dec. 9, 2022 to March 19, 2023, Bari ’s Spazio Murat will host I Love Lego, an exhibition designed for Lego enthusiasts of all ages. The exhibition will feature scaled-down detailed reproductions of castles inspired by epic medieval battles and scenes from World War II; the contemporary city with its skyscrapers, old town, recreation areas and train stations, and glimpses of the old town streets of typical Bavarian villages; and a reproduction of a Christmas landscape full of surprises.

Through a “character hunt,” among skyscrapers and palaces, among spaceships and knights, the public will be invited to search for famous (and not) characters hidden within the installations: from Harry Potter to Darth Vader and many other characters inserted by surprise in the different installations. Scenarios reproduced to the smallest detail and environments created in dozens of square meters with more than half a million of the world’s most famous bricks.

And demonstrating how the world’s most famous modules are capable of creating art at three hundred and sixty degrees, the exhibition will also feature Stefano Bolcato’s canvases, revisitations in LEGO little men version of the greatest masterpieces of art history, from the Mona Lisa to the works of Frida Kahlo, but also comic vignettes-installations by the LEGOlize collective.

Organized under the patronage of the City of Bari, the exhibition is produced and organized by Piuma in collaboration with Arthemisia. It is not directly sponsored by LEGO, but is made possible thanks to some of the world’s greatest collectors.
