More than 30 years of quality animated films that will be celebrated at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome with the exhibition Pixar. 30 Years of Animation.

An exhibition that takes us on a journey to discover the production process of this renown animated film studio based on the work of a world-renowned team of creatives and filmmakers using traditional tools such as drawing, tempera paints, pastels and sculpture along with cutting-edge digital media. With more than 400 works including drawings, sculptures, sketches, collages and storyboards, and a very rich selection of video materials, the exhibition “Pixar. 30 Years of Animation,” curated by Elyse Klaidman and Maria Grazia Mattei for the Italian edition, is a true journey into the Studios, and into the creative universe of Pixar.



The exhibition itinerary, designed by Fabio Fornasari, proposes an interpretation key based on the concepts of Character, Story and World, three fundamental elements to make of a great film. All enriched by two spectacular installations, theArtscape and the Zoetrope, which with digital technology bring the exhibits to life and recreate the excitement and magic of animation.

The exhibition will be on view from October 9, 2018 to January 20, 2019.
