As part of the exhibition Ulysses. Art and Myth, set up at the San Domenico Museums in Forlì, a multimedia video has been produced using the most advanced multimedia techniques, curated by the Fondazione Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì and Unit C1 - Visual Environments of Rome, in collaboration with the Municipality of Forlì. Culminating with Ulysses’ embrace of his newfound Ithaca and his bride Penelope, the video recounts in words and images the Homeric hero’s journey and his return to his homeland.
The video is available now on the Fondazione Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì’s Youtube channel, as well as on the website dedicated to the exhibition and on the social channels Facebook and Instagram.
Originally projected inside the church of San Giacomo, where the archaic Greek ship from Gela was placed, the video is part of the overall design of the exhibition that traces through the centuries the myth of Ulysses, in an ideal dialogue between ancient and contemporary.
Thematic insights into the exhibition dedicated to Ulysses by members of the Scientific Committee also continue on the Facebook page @mostraUlisseForli.
