The Louvre organizes guided tours ... sports to discover the sculpture collection from a different point of view. Yoga, cardio, dancehall and sports training sessions are planned, led by exceptional coaches. All before the halls open to the public.

As part of the exhibition Olympism. Modern Invention, Ancient Legacy, running at the Louvre until Sept. 16, 2024, the famed Parisian museum is organizing guided... sports tours to discover the sculpture collection from another point of view. “What if together we turned the world’s largest museum into the world’s largest ballroom and sports hall? I’m really excited to be able to resonate our actions in this magnificent setting and help discover different styles of dance, inspired by the most beautiful works of art,” says choreographer and dancer Mehdi Kerkouche, creator of the project, who envisions an unforgettable experience at the Louvre.

In fact, the project entitled Courez au Louvre, certified by Paris 2024 - Organizing Committee of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games as part of the Cultural Olympiad, offers from April 24 to May 4 and May 22 to 31 (excluding Tuesdays, Sundays and public holidays), visits to some of the Louvre’s rooms (Cour Marly, Cour Khorsabad, the Hall of the Caryatids and the medieval spaces) at eight o’clock in the morning (before the rooms open to the public) lasting one hour, during which there will be yoga, cardio, dancehall, dance and sports training sessions, led by exceptional coaches, each in their own discipline: Salim Bagayoko, Fanny Colliard , Queensy Blazin’, Léo Bordessoule, Laure Dary, Jérémie Sibethal.

At the end of the special guided tour intertwined with thesports training, participants then have the opportunity, by keeping their ticket, to visit the Olympism exhibition and museum rooms free of charge on the same day.

The initiative is produced by the Louvre Museum in collaboration with CCN de Créteil et du Val-de-Marne | EMKA.
