It will be anArteVicenza under the banner of twentieth-century art and young contemporary artists the one scheduled from April 6 to 9, 2018 at the Vicenza Fair: in fact, the second edition of the Vicenza modern and contemporary art market exhibition presents a selection of galleries that will transform the pavilions of the fairgrounds of the Venetian city into a sort of large art exhibition where visitors will be able to find works by the greats of the twentieth century, and new proposals of contemporary art.
As for the twentieth-century section, the names are resounding: the public will be able to see works by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Paul Klee, Giacomo Balla, Carla Accardi, Enrico Baj, Giorgio De Chirico, Christo, Lucio Fontana, Keith Haring, Sebastian Matta, Giorgio Morandi, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mario Schifano, Mario Sironi, Emilio Vedova, Carlo Carrà, Ottone Rosai, Renato Guttuso, Arman, Afro, Alighiero Boetti, Alberto Burri and many more. This is complemented by the Contemporary Art Talent Show section that features a rich selection of emerging and affordable art.
Among the new features of the second edition of ArteVicenza is the expansion of the offerings with the launch of the Antiquaria Vicenza market exhibition, all dedicated to antiques, with a dynamic format and bright and contemporary set-ups aimed at enhancing the works of ancient art that will be on display. All of this is behind the organization of Nord Est Fair, the company that has already successfully organized events such as ArtePadova, ArteGenova and ArteParma. “The choice of Vicenza as the venue for a fair dedicated to Modern and Contemporary Art,” say the organizers, “is not accidental, strong in an artistically and economically flourishing territory. The Berici capital is a cultural tourism destination with national and international flows, strategically located in an area rich in cultural proposals, natural beauty, productive and enogastronomic resources. Universally known as the city of Palladio from the name of the architect Andrea Palladio who created numerous buildings here in the late Renaissance, Vicenza was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.”
