From July 20-29, 2018, the third edition of Pontremoli Foto Festival will be held in the historic center of Pontremoli.
The initiative offers exhibitions, events, performances and workshops this year dedicated to thefemale universe behind the lens.
Palazzo di Giustizia, Palazzo Galli Bonaventuri and the Piagnaro Castle will host exhibitions by Giuliana Traverso, Antonella Monzoni, Stefania Adami, Carla Iacono, Marina Alessi, Malena Mazza, Laura Liverani, Federica Sasso, Elisa Paolucci Giannettoni, Sandra Lazzarini and Anna Voig, who will be featured on July 21, 22, 28 and 29 in a public talk.
Also scheduled are a lectio on literature and photography, on the occasion of the 66th Bancarella Prize, with the participation of Maria Vittoria Baravelli and Giuseppe Carrara, and a meeting with Marina Alessi on the"Faces to Read" exhibition and her career as a portraitist.
Other guests at the initiative include Cecilia Pratizzoli, founder of the Voglino Prize, critic Orietta Bay and artist Roberto Carlone: the latter on July 29 will hold a meeting on Vivian Maier, of whom he is a passionate scholar.
Two workshops will also be held: Conscious Photography with Simona Guerra on July 21 and 22 and Wet Collodio with Eleonora Pellegri and Isabella Trucco on July 29.
Thanks to two performances, the public will be able to have their own portrait: the first one on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22 with Ivana Galli and her “decomposed portrait”; the second one on Saturday, July 28 of Itinerant Portraits, collodion and otherwise, again with Pellegri and Trucco.
The opening is scheduled for Friday, July 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Piagnaro Castle, and on that occasion the Lunicafoto association, promoter of the event, together with the Municipality of Pontremoli, will present the prize for the Photowalk organized on the occasion of last February’s Tourday.
