The 2020 edition of Finestre Sull'Arte on paper starts again with Federico Barocci, the protagonist of the new issue of our paper

Issue 5 of Finestre Sull'Arte on paper is out now. The cover is dedicated to Federico Barocci and his Escape of Aeneas from Troy.

Federico Barocci ’s Escape of Aeneas from Troy is dedicated to the cover of the first 2020 issue of Finestre sull’Arte on paper. The work, created in 1598 and now housed at the Galleria Borghese in Rome, will be the subject of an exhaustive feature in our magazine, whose fifth issue we present today.

Issue 5 of Finestre sull’Arte on paper will be dedicated to the theme of destruction: among the topics we will cover will be Luca Signorelli’s frescoes in Orvieto (with an article by one of the leading experts on the Tuscan artist: Francesco Federico Mancini, professor of History of Modern Art at the University of Perugia), Jacopo Ligozzi’s Vanitas, the reception of antiquity by eighteenth-century artists after the discovery of the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and contemporary art by Marina Abramović, Damián Ortega and Aron Demetz. The debate section, on the other hand, will be devoted to the preservation and future of our historic centers with talks by, among others, Salvatore Settis, Vezio De Lucia, Carla Di Francesco, Margherita Eichberg, Enrico Maria Dal Pozzolo, Giampaolo Nuvolati and others.
