The 14th edition of Brera Design Week: 240 events on contemporary challenges

Brera Design Week 2023, the widespread event in Italy's most important design promotion district now in its 14th edition, is scheduled from April 17 to 23. On the calendar 240 events to reflect on the challenges of contemporaneity.

The future is now, giving it shape and meaning is a priority. On this premise, the 14th edition of Brera Design Week is structured, scheduled from April 17 to 23 with more than 240 events on the calendar. Edition that officially marks the event’s definitive return to presence.

Brera Design Week 2023 will be a lens on the topical issues that most affect the design industry, from material innovation to circularity, passing through the new market challenges between online and offline experience, with a focus on unprecedented ways to engage and garner the interest of new generations. The project is curated by Studiolabo, an agency and creative studio formed by a team of professionals specializing in communication design, from digital marketing to concept and graphic design, from web design to strategic design.

Promoting the theme proposed by Fuorisalone, "Future Laboratory,“ edition number XIV of Brera Design Week activates a reflection on the challenges of contemporaneity, giving space to projects and practices capable of triggering actions of change. The future is not something abstract and immaterial, but is built with the quality of our present. ”Laboratorio Futuro" is a moment of analysis and experimentation to translate today’s challenges into opportunities for tomorrow.

TRAME: an interactive installation conceived in the spaces of the Civic Aquarium in Milan. Trame is the interactive-perceptual exercise that Stark, a leading company in the production of multimedia installations and interactive experiences, dedicates to the theme of Fuorisalone 2023: Laboratorio Futuro. The human being rediscovers himself as an actor among actors as an integral part of the biological community whose intertwined and shared motion enables the inhabitation of living beings themselves. Stark makes this concept of co-authorship its own, proposing an experience of interaction with multiple voices. The work, by means of an interactive sound and visual installation, invites us to rely on a holistic and perceptual understanding, reflecting on how our actions, however conscious they may be, are necessarily intertwined with those from other lives, weaving the creative narrative that happens with each encounter. In the evocative aura of the Civic Aquarium of Milan, the collaboration with architects Alice Buroni and Gloria Lisi together with Alex Buroni, led Stark to experiment this experience in a shared workshop, proposing a dive into the wonderful metamorphoses that relationships between gestures can originate.
